Missing Trains by Eskah (Germany)

Missing Trains by Eskah (Germany)

The opening was basic, yet the techno vibe was nice. Not sure if you were trying to include a producer tag in the beginning around 0:11, but whatever is being said is indiscernible. This had very good syncopation and the different sounds were used well to keep the listener enticed. The layering of all the different sounds was very well managed; there was a lot going on, but not too much for it to seem cluttered or unprofessionally thrown together. I like how the song progressively eases into the more “exciting” part and then suddenly calms down, yet drastically increases in energy soon after. Also, at the end I like how it’s very intense, yet suddenly calms down as the song comes to a close. The volume changes were used very well to show a calming down and a spike in excitement. Though, at the parts where the volume is decreased, I think that a small, yet noticeable decrease in tempo would give a bigger, more dramatic effect. This could also be done at the end. The current tempo of the song is fitting, but I feel like slowing it down at the calmer parts will really put emphasis on the drastic energy changes throughout the song. The newly introduced double clap beat around 1:12 was unnecessary, I feel it would be better without it and just with the main melody. All in all, this song was very good; it was upbeat and funky, and it was very easy to tell which parts you were trying to put emphasis on. The track is kind of stuck in my head.

About

I’m a 28 year old guy from germany with an obsession for sounds and music. Got into making music about 2 1/2 years ago, as the result of me coping with some harsh emotions. And I kind of got addicted to it, since it helps me a lot keeping my sanity when things get rough. Now I’m just trying to get my stuff out there, hoping for the best.
