Noel DeLisle – The One to Call You Mine

A relaxing break from the pressure of the day can be found in the soothing piano and rich country twang of Noel DeLisle. Coming from a background in classical music and country music, DeLisle weaves a tapestry of romantic sunset balladry across feel-good vibes and comforting melodies. The Virginian resident’s song “The One to Call You Mine” displays a prowess for strength and warmth in vocalizing, an art that seems to get lost in the majority of mainstream country saturation that usually plays out like a prody of itself. With a background at New York’s Juliard School, DeLisle’s piano is a gentle symphony all on its own, mixing between an addictive main melody and a choral celebration.

DeLisle’s lyrical content is present, but it doesn’t quite paint the picture that I would have hoped for. It’s not bad, but it doesn’t provoke me to listen to the track more than once. I admit, as with every song, some will love it and some will hate it. Keeping this in mind, I would have preferred to hear this song slowed down another 15{41e357fed0c84f9247e7e029c2544c4f4d2795d9dff547b874d0988202651dd4} and become a ballad. I also would have preferred to hear this track as a duet. A sultry female voice singing the same lyrics would give this track an interesting twist.

We can’t exactly compare this song to other country songs, but if we align them side by side,t his song would be a 3 on a scale of 1 to 5. The  interesting perspective that gives Noel a visible edge is his compositional expertise that sits comfortable between restrained and intricate.

This is just a snippet of his feature full-length album called Love & Loss. If it indicative of anything at all, it’s that Noel DeLisle has more to offer than anything topping the Country Top 40 Charts these days.

More About Noel

Noel DeLisle may be new to the country music scene, but he is no stranger to the studio and stage! With musical roots originating in formal classical music study in both voice and piano, Noel honed his techniques through practice and performances through the collegiate level. Mentored by professors from The Julliard School, Vanderbilt University, University of Tennessee, Westminster Choir College and Concordia Choir College (just to name a few), Noel began expanding his talents to include musical composition.

Noel DeLisle ventured into alternative and hard rock, and opened for mainstream acts including: Linkin Park, Saliva, Drowning Pool, Halestorm, 12 Stones, Hollywood Undead and others.

After suggestions from many fans regarding Noel’s original songs, he made the transition to becoming a country artist. Utilizing the technology that his rock band had used to perform live with pre-recorded loops and sounds, Noel was able to bring to the stage as a solo artist a sound only replicated by a full band.

Noel DeLisle tailors his performance style and sound to match the venue he is performing at, and he can provide both acoustic shows as well as “full band” shows (utilizing digital-based technology & software).
